Cristina O. Allen is a 20+-year veteran in the marketing industry with expertise in brand development, media and public relations, event marketing, international business development and global marketing. Her work has included management positions within the entertainment, corporate and consulting industries with a focus on government, retail, non-profit and education sectors. Presently, she is CEO of Caliente Consulting which specializes in multi-cultural marketing, cross culture leadership and business development.
An accomplished entrepreneur, Allen has launched several successful companies in Tennessee. Most recently, she has concentrated on developing the market presence of domestic and international companies worldwide. In 2014, Allen launched Compass Global Strategies where she serves as president providing Global strategies to C-suite executives in leadership, cross culture awareness, international trade and multicultural marketing. Allen has also served as adjunct professor at Belmont University in Nashville, teaching International Marketing.
Allen has worked for the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Genesco Inc., Moore Entertainment, Ajax Turner Company (distributor for Anheuser Busch) as well as with several Tennessee public relations agencies. She is a graduate of New Mexico State University with degrees in advertising, public relations and psychology. She earned a Masters in Art in Civic Leadership from Lipscomb University (Nashville, TN).
Allen holds leadership roles for more than a dozen Middle Tennessee organizations. She has received numerous awards for her work in diversity and multi-cultural marketing. She is bi-lingual (English and Spanish) and hosts a weekly television show for the Nashville CBS affiliate called Que Pasa Nashville.
To complement her professional life, Allen is a wife and mother of three daughters.
